All About: Gamemaster

This fine lookin' fella asked me out:

Have you ever heard a young lady say she likes nerdy guys?  When she says that she means a hipster-nerd who likes the Lord of the Rings trilogy but also enjoys football and the ability to lift over 35 lbs.  Gamemaster may not fit that description.  I believe he meets the truest, original description of nerd, ala Revenge of the Nerds.  Based on the few nerderific photos he posted I gather he could easily have been cast in either of those fine cinematic works.  And that, my friends, is just based on the photos.

I read on into his profile to find his nerd-alert riddled "about me" section:

He plays RPGs: nerd translation - role playing games, of the Dungeon and Dragons variety.  I may be confused about my nerd gaming, but I'm willing to bet he plays as a dwarf based on his Match.com screen name!

He plays tabletop games: nerd translation - I don't know how these differ from RPGs, but apparently they do and I am not quite nerdy enough to understand the complexities;

He reads sci-fi and fantasy fiction: this isn't that bad because Game of Thrones is all the rage amongst nerd and nerd-posers, alike, but coupled with the above . . .

Holy shit, you're lucking out, readers: I just re-read his profile to discover that his main profile pic contains a rubber sword slung across his back.  Upon making this discovery, I immediately amended his caricature:

Ok, this is just too much nerdery for me to put in one blog post.  But worry not, for we are going out for drinks!  Next week - place and time to be decided.  I'm holding out for Medieval Times!  Fingers crossed!

  1. I recommend reading Ready Player One in preparation for this one. You'll have something to talk about. I'm all into fantasy/sci-fi books these days, you should try it!

    1. Haha, I totally read that book! I was thinking more of dragons and elves and what-not, but maybe we are a match made in futuristic heaven!
